Our label is a tribute to our ancestor John Couch Adams.
With fellow mathematicians, he proved the existence of the planet Neptune in the 1840s. This spirit of discovery is in our winemaking, taking old traditions into the future with sustainable practices.

Galle is one of the five Rings of Neptune. Cabernet Sauvignon from the Barossa is a rich and robust with sophistication and excellent cellaring potential.

2020 Galle Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon Reviews

A stunning rendition, this is varietal and gracefully complex, showing cassis, toasty oak, tobacco and mixed spice aromas with a lovely floral overtone. The palate displays outstanding weight and concentration, wonderfully framed by rich texture and beautifully pitched tannins. Firm and solidly built, while offering supple mouthfeel, finishing persistent and gratifying. At its best: now to 2036. $60.00. www.sorbyadamswines.com. Aug 2023.

Another super concentrated and deeply intense cabernet from Adams. Loads of blackcurrant but then there are other notes of cherry and Satsuma plum. The palate provides layer after layer of complex flavours. Has a slightly cracked seashell character with a little mint and a strap of licorice. Score 94/100. Cellar: 15 years
