"Who doesn’t love a good Sparkling Shiraz? Well, apparently quite a few people, as I am assured that it is a love-it-or-hate-it style. That said, those of us who do enjoy a good Spurgles, as it used to be known, really do enjoy them (personally, I am not welcome at the family Christmas unless I arrive with a couple of bottles). From a single vineyard in the Adelaide region, this is an inky deep purple. Oozing delicious fruit notes with plums, mulberries, black cherries, along with spices, mocha, leather and coffee grinds. Again, this is very much upfront in style with that creamy texture. Bright acidity, a hint of sweetness, and rich flavours, all neatly balanced, it is read to drink now."
