SINGLE VINEYARD  |  SOUTH AUSTRALIA

An emerging varietal crafted for the curious, our first-ever Pecorino marks an exciting new 'taste' for Gudilly.

Designed for drinkers who love the texture and generosity of Chardonnay, yet crave something a little different, this is a white wine that offers a rewarding alternative without straying too far from the familiar. It's a white wine that even dedicated red wine drinkers may find hard to resist.

Vibrant citrus, pear and floral aromatics leap from the glass, inviting exploration from the very first sip. Medium-bodied and beautifully textured, the palate combines a creamy mouthfeel with smooth buttery complexity from five months maturation in old French oak, before finishing crisp and dry.

Unmistakably Gudilly, it's expressive, approachable and a little adventurous, the perfect wine for those who enjoy discovering something new.

Gudilly Pecorino 2026 | New Varietal Reviews

Pale straw in colour with a fresh, slightly savoury aromatic edge. The palate is fleshy and creamy, with soft acidity giving the wine a rounded, generous shape. Five months in older French barriques adds subtle texture and a gentle buttery almond character without dominating the fruit. The flavours meld together nicely, with good balance, plenty of flavour and an appealing softness through the finish. Fruit is sourced from the fourth-generation Bassham Family Estate in Barmera, where the family has built a strong reputation for emerging varieties and climate-adaptive viticulture.
Creamy, textural and flavour-packed, with soft acidity and a lovely almond finish.
Perfect with chicken and mushroom risotto.
