Gudilly Pinot Gris 2026 | New Vintage Reviews

Fresh and inviting, revealing aromas of nashi pear, white peach and green apple layered with citrus blossom and subtle honeysuckle. The palate is soft and beautifully balanced with ripe pear and apple flavours supported by refreshing acidity and superb textural richness. Notes of white peach and citrus unfold through the mid-palate before a clean, lingering finish delivers excellent freshness and poise.

Russ Gallagher, Vino Masters

The McPherson family are well known grape growers and the fifth generation has provided the fruit for this single vineyard Pinot Gris from the Kirriemuir Vineyard in Waikerie, Riverland, in the State of South Australia. Deep lemon in hue with the faintest pink touch, the nose reveals aromas of pears, apples, minerals, florals, stonefruits and a hint of citrus. A lovely texture here and the palate sees a slight sort of soapy lemon note, which is actually much more attractive than it sounds. There is decent length and good balance throughout. This is very good drinking now and should remain so for the next three to four years.

A really bright and light gris style with fairly typical apple, pear, and citrusy characters on the nose. The palate has a lovely mouthfeel and texture, with bright fruits and a lift of citrus character carrying through to an easy finish. It retains a vibrant acidity that gives it line and length, and a little fruit sweetness adds a textural feel that makes this a most appealing wine.
